God’s roaring like a lion in my life. Is He in yours?

Why hello there friends, family, strangers, and brothers and sisters in Christ,

It’s such a pleasure to be able to write to you tonight on this gorgeous Sunday night.  Man I’ve missed writing, I have been actually increasing my reading to compensate for the time that I missed by actually writing.  I’m sure you all can understand exactly why I wasn’t documenting things, family time.  It’s really difficult living 3 hours away from your family and seeing as the way schedules worked out I was only getting an evening with them after not seeing them for 3 weeks, I figured I would take the weekend off documenting.  However, don’t dare to speculate that means I took off the weekend spiritually, I would actually make the argument I grew more spiritually this weekend then I have in any weekend in my life.  I mean that, obviously; or I wouldn’t have said it!

So I’ll begin with a quick description of what went on this weekend spiritually.  I prayed for about 2 hours straight Friday night, Saturday night, right now.  So what did I pray for you’re wondering…I prayed for peace in the world.  I prayed that God show me the tools to bless others and witness to them.  I prayed that God continue to give me this guidance to become stronger in Him and not anything else.  I prayed for Daniel in Afghanistan fighting for his or our lives every single day 24 hours a day.  I prayed for my family to get back to the ways of the Lord completely.  I actually prayed that all of you, saved or not, get back in the ways of the Lord.  I prayed that the Lord help me not to be complacent in life.  I prayed about my girlfriend and her family.  I prayed for so many other things in the course of this weekend.  I just thanked God for putting me in the situation He has placed me in.  A situation full of successes around me.

I am 21 years old, a few semesters shy of having my Bachelors degree in Sport Management, experiencing what it’s truly like to live as a Christian, literate, healthy, amazing family, amazing girlfriend, amazing girlfriends family, amazing churches and resources around me, and so many other things.  God’s blessing me more than I deserve, thus it leaves me FEELING STRONGER for Him.  I want to give my resources to you.  I want to give my intellectual capacity to you.  It’s arrogant, shameful, conceited, and ridiculous for me to NOT share what God’s given me.  It’s giving me a new perspective.  It’s giving me a new life.  I’ve become a new man.  2 weeks ago I handed my life over to the Lord and said, take the drivers seat, I’m along for the ride. You command me, I will do it, I am beyond amazed at what impact God really has on society.  After seeing how many people actually view my blog and read my writing, I am left speechless due to God’s lasting impact on people.  I’ve not only experienced in through my own eyes, but from another perspective as well, witnessing to you.  That’s something I can’t explain and I encourage you to do as God commands and witness to people.

Steven Furtick uses a word that I believe is extremely accurate when He says God calls people to live with audacious faith.  You can take it upon yourself to look up the word, but it’s a powerful word.  Now I don’t worship the dictionary or anything like that, but I just like the word audacious.  It sounds so much more masculine.  So why am I telling you about some really long a word that has no significant relevance to what I’m talking about…because it’s what I’m experiencing right now.  I am living my life with no disregard.  I am living my life with one thing on my mind and that’s that my God is in control of everything.  I am at COMPLETE peace with my life, I can honestly say since I’ve begun reading the Bible in-depth, I am experiencing what i wrote about a few weeks ago.

I am getting the peace that comes with completely believing in the Gospel.  I’m living my spiritual life to the fullest, I’m making every opportunity come and just…doing everything the Lord gives me to make it a successful situation.  Ever since I teamed up with the Lord in doing this blog, I have changed.  Sure, I’ve been saved for years but now I don’t even doubt my salvation.  I don’t doubt anything, I completely am submitted to the Lord.

What, you’ve never doubted it?  You’ve never listened to that preacher who says, “You may have the smallest little doubt of your salvation, you can be saved now by Christ.”  Or the preacher that says, “God’s here right now, if there’s any question at all, come now and be Saved from your sins.”  If you’ve never had that doubt before, congratulations, you’re truly living an awesome Christian life.  I would be willing to bet you’ve had that thought a lot, whether you’ll come out and admit it or not.  Well family, friends, strangers, and all alike, I can honestly say that I don’t have that doubt any longer.  I can honestly say that I am at peace with my relationship with Christ.  I am at peace with the world.  I’m really not sure that anything can change that.  God’s building my life up in so many different ways, facets, and giving me doors I never thought would be opened.  People, I ask of you, please pray to God and ask Him how you can help guide someone to the right way, the only way, the way with God.

Listen, I’m not some supernatural writer, I’m not one who is put on a pedestal and can do all these incredible things or write these incredible passages.  I’m not educated in the field of MInistry.  I’m simply your ordinary guy who is becoming extraordinary through Christ.  I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, I simply let God take over as I type.  I let God show how He’s impacted my life and let you guys see it.  I am so blessed to be able to share how our amazing Lord and Savior can impact ones life.  So if God can do these things to me then God can definitely do these things with you, but you’ve got to accept Him first.  You’ve got to give Him the time He deserves.  You have to worship.  You have to show God that you’re ready for Him to take over.  Once you give God the keys to your little Toyota, it becomes a Ferrari, and it’s your choice to continue to ride in the Ferrari or take your Toyota back.  Because here’s the thing, are you comfortable with not having the power of knowing you’re the owner of your car?  You see, you have to swallow your pride, it’s like would you stick with that Ferrari knowing you’ll never get to drive it?  Would you make the sacrifice of losing your car and not having transportation because you know that the only transportation you’ll have is from the Lord?  You see, I can make analogies all night long, but the thing is…you have to let God take over.  You have to open your mouth wide open and be ready to accept and do as whatever God finds for to be done.

If you can do that, welcome to the phenomenon of the life of being a child of God.  You’ll never want to leave this place once you’ve jumped on this bandwagon.  The cool thing about this bandwagon, there’s no jumping off, because there’s no competition. God will ALWAYS be the champion, the king, the Alpha and the Omega, and the one we always praise.

Goodness, if you can’t tell how passionate I’ve become for the Lord, it’s pretty overwhelming sometimes because it’s so strong.  I absolutely love it.

So listen, if you’re interested in joining the awesome place that I’m in with God, keep this verse in mind.  Because I don’t know about you, but I want to be a disciple of the Lord through ALL OF ETERNITY.

John 8:31-32: Then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him.  “if you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure.  Then you will experience yourself the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Speak with God in Prayer. Give it all to God. You’ll be amazed in the results. Read the scripture, meditate on it, digest it, and study it. What a difference it makes.

I just want it to be made known that I want to be a follower of Christ and follow every step that’s given to me.  I don’t want that to ever be doubted.  I am proud to say that I’m a follower of the Lord.  It’s apparent by now that I’m devoted, dedicated, and strong willed for the one and the only God.  Nothing will stop me.  Praise the Lord for all that You do.  The day I die, I want a few things on my record.  I want to make people known that I lived for the Lord in my flesh and that I raised a family up God’s way, not mine.  (Lord willing I make it to that second point).

I’m going to leave you with this…

Please never pray that God lights your spiritual well-being on fire.  Never pray that God light your faith on fire.  You shouldn’t have to pray those things.  I learned this the hard way.  I used to pray things like, “God, I’m trying here, work with me…I want to do more for You, but I don’t know what or how. Maybe if you gave me that boost, I could find something…”  No, no, no, and no.  Don’t do that.  If God’s that low on your priority list, you’ll never be on fire for Him.  If you can’t honestly look at your day and not want to praise Him, then that’s where your problem begins.  God gave you the body that you have, gave you the air to breathe, the mirror to see yourself with, the eyes for vision, and I could go on and on and on and on and on.  There’s your issue, you’re not looking at the things you take for granted.  Give God the time He deserves!  Show Him how important He really is to you.  If you start adding “Jesus time” into your day, oh you’ll be gaining flames in a hurry.  Now that I’m actually doing devotionals three times a day, I am constantly viewing my life as a blessing from God.  It’s not that I’m being blessed more, it’s that I’m recognizing His many blessings around me.  I ask that you guys do that as well, look at everything and how it came to be.  Thank the Lord for all the many blessings around you and just thank Him for everything.  Without God, none of this is impossible.  Therefore, with Him, everything is possible.  Remember that.

Look, I really do appreciate those of you who read my blog in full.  I ask that you do me a favor though.  If you like my blog, read it often, I ask that you tweet it.  I ask that you post it to your Facebook account on your wall.  Our God is mighty to Save.  Our God can do amazing things if we allow Him to do those things.  Honestly, it sounds wild, but by posting it to your Facebook, it may result in someone eventually becoming saved by God’s grace.  It’s pretty neat that a little click of copy and paste for the URL to your Facebook wall could gain us another brother or sister or Christ.  Matter of fact it’d be spectacular.  I just ask that of you.  I love you all.  I can’t wait to come back and write again.  I love living for God.  I’m on a mission from the Lord, He has called me to get people to Christ. I’m doing my part, do yours today, tomorrow, and forever. I love you all again, goodnight. God bless.

God bless.
